Kenda Bicycle Tyres announces new partnership with Brandon Cyclesports

Last year, Kenda Bicycles announced a new route to market through their supply channel into the UK cycle aftermarket, consisting of a new warehousing and distribution facility that supports the UK cycle trade directly and through Velobrands.

Kenda says they are continuing their commitment to support and grow in the UK cycle market and expanding their reach. From Monday, 7th July, retailers can now source Kenda Bicycle tyres and tubes from Brandon Cyclesports.

Brandon has been in motorcycle and powersports parts distribution since 1970. With current managing director Hamish Brandon, the company entered into its second generation in 2019, when Hamish took over from his father, Michael.  From humble beginnings, Michael started the company as a hobby, which quickly grew and became a well-respected parts and accessories distributor. According to Brandon, they are a ‘customer comes first’ operation and do their best to look after their network of dealers, offering only quality brands which can be relied on and trusted.

Pim Ramselaar Kenda GB Bicycle Sales Manager said: “We are excited to announce this partnership as its one that represents our commitment to longevity and growth in the market, when I first met Hamish, saw the offices and met his team I knew that although it was a relatively small operation they can do big things in the UK not just for Kenda but also for their customers.”

Our main focus in the past has been motorcycle and powersports, however, we have been seeing a steady increase in sales of cycle products to our existing dealers.  We added the Kenda motorcycle and ATV range to our offering earlier this year and after positive discussions with Kenda about the cycle market, we felt the time was right to take the leap and launch into the cycle sector.

Kenda share our drive to be successful in this industry. Whilst we are under no illusion we have some hard work ahead as we look to gain momentum and expand our customers, we would hope that cycle dealers who are prepared to give us an opportunity to work with them, will enjoy a good working relationship with us and appreciate our ‘family feel business’, attention to detail and our understanding the value of excellent customer service – Hamish Brandon Director of Brandon Cyclesports
