Continental receives platinum sustainability rating

Continental has received the highest possible platinum sustainability rating from EcoVadis, scoring 84 out of 100 points.

This result places Continental among the top 1% of companies assessed by EcoVadis in terms of sustainability within the tyre and supplier industry.

EcoVadis evaluated Continental’s sustainability performance based on categories including environment, ethics, labour and human rights, and sustainable procurement.

Continental achieved particularly high scores in labour and human rights as well as sustainable procurement, demonstrating its strong commitment to responsible practices across its global bicycle tire operations.

“This year’s platinum rating highlights our commitment to sustainability across the entire tire value chain,” said Anika Hannig, Bicycle Sustainability Manager at Continental Tires.

“We’re continuously driving innovation in sustainable products and solutions—including within our bicycle range – from sourcing responsibly to optimising production and materials. This recognition by EcoVadis affirms the impact of our efforts and encourages us to keep raising the bar.”

Sustainability rating from EcoVadis

Since its founding in 2007, EcoVadis has grown into a “globally trusted provider of business sustainability ratings” with a network of more than 150,000 companies.

As well as issuing an overall sustainability rating, it awards medals to the top performers: bronze, silver, gold and platinum.

The EcoVadis collaborative platform allows buyers and suppliers around the world to assess, monitor and benchmark their business partners’ supply chains as transparently as possible.
