Miche Backs Groupama – FDJ Cycling Team as official sponsor

The Pink, the Yellow, and the Red of the Grand Tours, the dust of the Strade Bianche, the Walls of Flanders, and the cobblestones of Paris-Roubaix, will shape Miche’s 2025, a year set to be filled with challenges on the grand stage of the World Tour races.

The San Vendemiano-based company is the new technical partner of the Groupama – FDJ Cycling Team for the 2025 season, supplying wheels and components from the Race Division range, a line designed to meet the needs of professional riders. Together, Miche and Groupama-FDJ plans to write a new chapter in history, pushing the boundaries of performance and innovation, driven by a shared passion.

Two cycling excellences united by a shared vision

Gregory Girard, General Manager of Miche, has announced the commencement of a technical sponsorship agreement between the San Vendemiano Veneto-based company and the French Groupama–FDJ Cycling Team. This is a strong commitment from both parties, united by a common goal: to be top players in the cycling World Tour circuit.

Girard said: “It is with great pride that we become the technical partner of the World Tour team Groupama – FDJ Cycling Team, providing our wheels. These wheels have become one of the core products for our company, and they are already giving us a lot of fulfillment in terms of sales. This is a crucial milestone for the Miche brand: for the first time, our wheels will be used by a World Tour Team, a goal we’ve achieved by dedicating many resources to improving the product, through several wind tunnel testing sessions and numerous on-road tests carried out with professional riders. However, this is just the first step: our goal, in addition to raising the prestige of the Miche brand, is to further elevate the level of our product.”

A top-tier technical partner

From the very first meeting, the Groupama – FDJ Cycling Team was deeply impressed by the quality of Miche products, recognising in them a unique opportunity for customisation and adaptation to the specific needs of the riders. Thanks to this partnership, Miche is able to offer highly performing solutions designed to meet the demands of a world-class team.

Thierry Cornec, Managing Director of the Groupama – FDJ Cycling Team said: “I am delighted to partner the Groupama FDJ Cycling Team with a brand as iconic as Miche. From day 1 the main goal of both was to work side by side to leverage our expertise and feedback to further refine their high-performance products. Miche is not simply participating, but is here to deeply support the team to win the biggest international races and our entire team embraces this challenge.”

Tailored to the needs of professional riders

Miche, an Italian excellence in the cycling industry, stands out for its specialized approach to design and production. With its entirely Italian design hub in San Vendemiano, the company operates vertically, ensuring full control over every stage of production. This structure enables the creation of tailor-made solutions for teams and athletes, meeting specific needs while optimizing performance, reliability, and design.

Jeremy Roy, Technical Director of the Groupama – FDJ Cycling Team said: “Our partnership with Miche begins with their renowned wheelsets, the cornerstone of our agreement. However, it extends beyond this to encompass other innovative components that, when integrated, we believe will significantly elevate our team’s performance, Miche’s deep-rooted understanding of cycling will be instrumental in propelling our team to new heights. Moreover, Miche’s in-house production capabilities is a key factor in forging this collaboration. Their ability to tailor components to the specific needs of each rider will enable us to optimise performance and consistently achieve superior results. This partnership will also facilitate the co-development of new products, further solidifying our competitive edge.”

Defining a new era for World Tour cycling

Miche’s Race Division product line offers a range of top-tier wheels and components. From climbs to sprints and time trials, Miche products are designed to deliver maximum performance with a strong focus on aerodynamic efficiency and engineering.

Girard continued: “We are already working with the team on new developments and improvements to the current solutions and designing new products that we will then bring to the broader market. We are confident that this partnership will allow us to forge new commercial collaborations, both in markets where we are not yet present and in those where we are already well-established. We look forward to seeing the Groupama – FDJ Cycling Team riders use our wheels in the most important UCI calendar races and wish them the best of luck for the 2025 season”.

In the 2025 season, the Groupama – FDJ Cycling Team riders will be racing with products from Miche’s RD range. The Kleos family of wheels will be the standout technical feature of the equipment: from the lightweight RD 36, designed for climbers, to the high-profile RD 62 for high speeds, and the all-round RD 50. For time trials, the team will have access to the disc Crono RD and the three-spoke wheel SPX3 front wheel. The team will also use the new X1 RD chainring, RD axles, and bike computer mounts.

The 2025 Tour Down Under will mark the debut of the collaboration between Miche and the Groupama – FDJ Cycling Team. A must-see event for all cycling enthusiasts.
