MET launches the new MET Terræ helmet

MET has now launched the Terræ, a helmet the brand says offers the same level of performance and protection as their top-of-the-range models.

Offering extended coverage, flexible safety-release visor, a full polycarbonate wrap to protect the longevity of the EPS shell, and the Safe-T Heta 360° fit system and Mips® protection, the MET Terræ is certified NTA 8776, bringing “high-end safety to everyday trail rides.”

Available in six colours (white, burned yellow, mauve, pistachio green, stone blue and black) and in sizes S-L.

Here are more details from the release:

More Ventilated
The MET Terræ internal air channelling system has been developed through our proprietary wind tunnel, allowing us to refine and enhance the ventilation performance of our helmets.

Certified for high-energy impact speeds
Being NTA-certified, the MET Terræ is able to dissipate significantly more impact energy. The shell also has more impact-tested coverage around the two most sensitive brain areas: the back and the temples, resulting in a safer choice for your rides.

Five-star safety
The Virginia Tech Helmet Lab tested the MET Terræ, and it received a 5-star rating. The Virginia Tech Helmet Lab provides an objective assessment of helmet safety. It gives a rating based on both linear and rotational impact energies, going above and beyond the state of the art of helmet safety standards.

Super Visor
The visor is adjustable, it features a safety-release system that makes it detach in case of a crash, and it’s also flexible, preventing changes in the helmet’s position on the head during impacts.

Comfort
Extremely comfortable and secure on the head, the new Terræ is designed to be stable while riding on rough terrains. Featuring the Safe-T Heta 360° retention system, the fit is micrometrical and customised to the perimeter of the head, avoiding any pressure points or discomfort on long rides.

Mips Protection
Featuring the Mips Brain Protection System, the MET Terræ is designed to slide relative to the head in the event of a crash, helping to redirect harmful rotational forces. Positioned between the comfort padding and the EPS liner inside the helmet, Mips is a rotational management system engineered to enhance standard helmet construction by providing added protection in specific types of impacts.

MSRP:
• MET Terræ: 150€ | £130 | 160USD | 200CAD | 250AUD
