Fazua 2 Fazua Firmware Bundle 12 introduces KickOverrun feature

Fazua Firmware Bundle 12 introduces KickOverrun feature

Fazua has announced the launch of Firmware Bundle 12, which offers a substantial update for the brand’s RIDE 60 drive system.

The announcement highlights that the update “turns up the joy of riding and every technical climb into serious fun” – leaving little doubt as to the focal point: KickOverrun

Firmware Bundle 12 introduces KickOverrun, a new automatic support feature that provides “natural, powerful assistance exactly when you need it most, such as on steep rocky, or technical climbs”.

  • With KickOverrun, the support from the motor remains active for longer after riders stop pedalling.
  • The support is activated by a short pedal kick and gives you the momentum you need to overcome technical passages or obstacles – without any further pedalling.

This, Fazua states, offers a real advantage, especially on rough, challenging trails. Riders no longer have to force the pedal if there is no room for it. Instead, a minimal movement gives you the power you need to master every key section with full control.

Alongside this, the software update is also said to offer “improved riding behavior, automatic sensor calibration, longer standby times, and overall system stability enhancements.”

“These upgrades underscore our dedication to rider-focused innovation,” adds Paul van Splunteren, Co-CEO at Porsche eBike Performance GmbH. “We’re not just improving firmware—we’re elevating the entire ride experience.”

KickOverrun overview

The new for Firmware Bundle 12 KickOverrun is said to deliver “precisely tuned bursts of power exactly when you need them—whether climbing a steep pitch or navigating a technical trail”.

The announcement further emphasizes that when the riders are giving that final push, to clear an obstacle, and then eases off the pedals, it’s here that they have developed KickOverrun to “amplify that energy” providing “seamless support”.

Pascal Ketterer, Team Lead Riding Behavior at Fazua says: “KickOverrun adds power and flow to every climb, turning steep trails into fun challenges. With Firmware Bundle 12, the RIDE 60 drive system feels more intuitive and natural than ever.”

The KickOverrun feature only activates during technical riding sections, based on specific riding patterns. This ensures that it only engages on mountain bikes when necessary.

The RIDE 60 Firmware Bundle 12 also brings:

Automatic Sensor Calibration
The system’s automatic calibration with each ride keeps support permanently precise.

Extended Standby Time
Now up to 10 minutes—twice as long—so riders can pause without restarting, giving them more trail time and less downtime.

Robust Stability Enhancements
From refined power-delivery algorithms to bug fixes, every update is engineered for smoother, more reliable performance.
