On 1 June 2025, ZyroFisher became the sole distributor for Continental in the UK.
Ahead of the arrangement, the team visited the Continental tyres factory in Korbach, Germany.Â
ZyroFisher’s brand, marketing and IBD team members visited the 347,102 m² factory site to learn about Continental’s complete bicycle tyre range across Road, Gravel, MTB, and Urban cycling. Â
According to ZyroFisher, a special highlight from the team’s visit to Korbach was the High-Performance Technology Centre (HPTC) and the time spent with Continental’s Product Managers, who passed on their knowledge of the exciting new products coming into ZyroFisher’s warehouse, such as the Grand Prix TR, Terra Adventure and the new high-performance MTB lines (Magnotal, Trinotal, and Dubnital). Â
ZyroFisher says the new partnership between Continental and ZyroFisher brings big opportunities for retailers and riders alike, with ZyroFisher taking full responsibility for sales, logistics, and support across the entire Continental range.
The commitment to quality is apparent at every stage of production and evident in the finished product. The level of testing and quality control means every tyre is ready for whatever terrain or conditions are thrown at it. Our confidence in the product and the brand has been taken to the next level – Paul Caswell, Brand Development Head at ZyroFisher.Â
The Continental tyre plant in Korbach recently became the company’s fourth plant to receive the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) PLUS sustainability certification. This globally recognised standard certifies that Continental meets specific sustainability documentation requirements relating to the use of more sustainable materials.
It also confirms the transparent traceability of the raw materials used in the production process. For the premium manufacturer, this is a further step on the way to 100 per cent sustainable materials in its tire products by 2050.
My colleagues and I were particularly impressed by the craftmanship involved in the making of each tyre and how Continental is proud of its manufacturing heritage and technology. The ‘Handmade in Germany’ slogan that accompanies all the tires produced at Korbach certainly carries more meaning to us now, especially after experiencing first-hand how friendly and knowledgeable the workers are.
It was interesting to see how much skill and concentration are necessary on the part of the workers who make those tyres and inspect them. You can see that flowing and changing as you go from one floor to the next, with some areas, for example where the tubular tires are made, being particularly quiet and involving careful handiwork – Michelle Mendes, Senior Marketing Manager at ZyroFisher
2025 is set to usher in a wave of exciting new products from Continental across all product areas, reinforcing the brand’s dedication to sustainability, engineering innovation, and empowering riders to ride more and perform at their best. Continental will continue its proud tradition of supporting world-leading athletes and events into 2025 and beyond, including sponsorship of the Tour de France and Giro d’Italia.Â
Zyrofisher says this move reflects Continental’s commitment to adapting to changing market conditions and unlocking exciting new opportunities to connect with customers in innovative ways. Working closely with ZyroFisher — recognised for distributing world-class, industry-leading cycling brands — will further enhance Continental’s ability to deliver its acclaimed products to riders across all disciplines.
