British bike brand Pearson Cycles has introduced its new UCI-approved aero model, the Shift, designed for speed and performance, without sacrificing comfort.
At launch, the brand states the Shift is 20% lighter than its predecessor, all while delivering a noticeably smoother ride.
Optimised for performance-focused riders, the racing machine utilises an adapted T1000 and Toray M Series Carbon layup to improve compliance and enhance ride quality. Toray M series with Toray 1000 has allowed the Shift to be more compliant without losing market-leading drive train efficiency.
At launch, Scott Davies, CEO at Pearson Cycles, reflects:
“The time our team spends refining details on our bikes is really reflected in the new Shift. We had a great bike to begin with, with class-leading drive train efficiency, but taking rider feedback on board meant we could take it another step.
Brand fans will also notice that there is another, significant, change which is front and centre at the launch of the new Shift: The Pearson brand and logo.
Here Davies comments: “We are excited to bring our new brand to life with this bike, we have been working on the re-imagination of the oldest Bicycle Company in the world for a year and half, it’s something we haven’t taken lightly, we are very happy and proud to be launching it alongside this amazing bike.”
A rider-first buying experience
The brand points out that there is no point having 165 years of British engineering experience if the service and customer experience don’t match this expertise.
To that end, every bike is delivered ready-to-ride, with a £200 Cashback Bike Fit voucher and a 30-day free exchange for any parts or components.
The Shift is available through Pearson’s direct-to-consumer service or at a hand-picked group of retailers.
