Brompton x Tour de France: Two new limited edition bikes

Brompton has linked up with the Tour de France to create two limited bikes that feature iconic race imagery printed across the bikes’ main frames.

Taking a C Line and P Line model, Brompton has used a sublimation print technique to add race day photography from Pauline Ballet and Charly Lopez onto the frame, creating “an aesthetic as iconic as the race”.

Of the unique look, the announcement points out, “at first glance, you see a pattern, but as you look again, fans and the riders reveal themselves.

“We might be from different ends of the cycling spectrum, but we’re united in our belief that bikes have the power to change everyone and anyone’s world. Racing Alpe d’Huez or pedalling through the city, the sense of joy and possibility is shared. Once you know it, it never leaves you.

“We celebrate that feeling with two limited edition Brompton x Tour de France folding bikes. For the riders. For the fans,” said Chris Willingham, Marketing Director at Brompton.

Hand-built in Brompton’s London factory, the bike is finished with a print technique which creates an abstract photographic pattern. The bike is equipped in a way that also “pays homage to the world’s greatest cycling race” – featuring iconic jersey colour paint, Leaders Yellow bar grips, and the Brompton logo in the unmistakable yellow.

The design “pays homage to the world’s greatest cycling race” with the iconic jersey colours, overlaid race stats and the Brompton logo in the unmistakable yellow.
