Panaracer unveils limited edition GravelKing tyres in purple and matcha

Panaracer has announced the release of two GravelKing Limited Edition colours: Panaracer Purple and Matcha.

Panaracer Purple is described by the brand as “elegant and luxurious”, paying tribute to the company’s heritage and celebrating the renewal of the GravelKing series.

Matcha represents “security and harmony” and its unique colour adds a distinctive accent to any bike.

Each tread colour is available in the GravelKing SK, SS and X1 with two sidewall colour options: black or brown.

All are tubeless compatible and come in sizes 700 x 40c and 700 x 45c.

This collection features the same tech found in the new 2024 GravelKing’s and each colour and size are produced in limited quantities.

The GravelKing Limited Edition will be available from early June via the brand’s UK distributor, ZyroFisher.

In March, Panaracer overhauled the GravelKing tyre line-up in-line with the product’s 10th anniversary.

A decade ago, the original GravelKing spec was designed around a 17mm inner width rim. And while modified in the years since, 2024 brings better hookless rim compatibility, ease of mounting, and design specs that are more in line with where gravel is going into the future.

New compounds, beads, and puncture protection are also being launched with the new line-up.

The entire line-up has undergone a top-down remodel of technology including an entirely new bead called BeadLock, an updated version of proprietary anti-puncture material called TuffTex, and a new tread compound called ZSG Gravel.

An entirely new logo and packaging have been designed to differentiate the original line-up from the new line-up. Only the name and model treads remain the same.

Alongside this, Panaracer introduced the first new GravelKing model since the SS in 2017, the GravelKing X1.

The X1 has been in the works for more than two years and was developed from feedback gathered around the world by the brand’s team of testers, athletes, and tech team.
