Established in 1973, Oxford Products Ltd (OXFORD) is a leading global supplier of motorcycle and bicycle products. The company is also the UK’s largest distributor of aftermarket two-wheeler products and enjoys strong continuous growth thanks to sustained investment in its 160 people, 20,000 products and 145,000 sq ft infrastructure. Recent investments include a new R&D facility to house our 40-strong product team and a 24,000 sq ft extension to our distribution center in Oxfordshire.

Over the last 10 years Oxford Products has grown its presence massively in the Cycle Industry, both
domestically and overseas, with a significant product portfolio across all product categories. More recently, the OXFORD range has seen a significant brand update with a rejuvenated proposition in its core categories, along with many innovative in-house product developments.

The role

Based within our Design & Research Centre in Witney, you will be involved in all aspects of the products management cycle, from product development, project management, range planning, supplier liaison and cost price negotiation, whilst striving to maintain the integrity of the brand and achieve the company’s objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in cycling with an understanding of the various disciplines and trends within the cycling sector. 

They need to be very well organised and able to work on their own initiative, with keen attention to detail. Strong communication skills are essential to negotiate with external and internal stakeholders.

Experience in a product facing or buying role within the cycle industry is preferential but not essential. You will need to be proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.

Main duties include:

  • Identifying the needs of the market and sourcing products which meet those needs.
  • Developing products from concept to market, working with our in-house engineering and creative teams at all stages of product development and launch.
  • Ensuring the technical information for product categories under your management are accurately recorded and presented to the customer.
  • Working with our sales and marketing teams to maximise the sales and exposure for ranges under your management.
  • Analysis of ranges under your management to ensure sales trends and performance is highlighted to the stakeholders in the business.

The role is varied with excellent prospects for progression and would involve visits to European trade shows and some Far East travel to visit factories.
