Bikes Sales Assistant

Our history and heritage is woven into the fabric of Scottish cycling but if you want to be part of our future then your ride starts here. We have both full time and part time roles for bikes sales assistants in our Aviemore Outdoor Experience store.

Our colleagues are our greatest asset and we are looking for who shares our commitment to fantastic service and customer experience, loves spending time on the bike, and would be excited to join the team in our Aviemore store. The successful candidate will be expected to flexible including working weekends as required.

Customer and Sales Support

At Silverfish, we don’t just distribute bikes and gear – we live for the ride. Since 1999, we’ve partnered with the finest brands in the industry like Fox, Race Face, Yeti Cycles, 100%, and more to deliver world-class gear and exceptional service to the UK’s top bike retailers.

As we continue to grow across the UK and Europe, we’re looking for a motivated and passionate industry specialist to join our customer and sales support team.  Based at the Silverfish Service Centre, you’ll be the behind-the-scenes engine that keeps our FOX sales and service running smoothly.

You’ll be a key connection point between Silverfish HQ, our sales team out in the field, and our network of incredible bike dealers. This isn’t just an admin role, you’ll be hands-on, proactive, and right in the thick of the action. From managing accounts and processing orders to backing up our field team and keeping customers stoked, you’ll help ensure the ride runs smooth from start to finish.

With a solid understanding of bikes and a passion for the brands we represent, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering top-tier service, building trust, and driving our growth across the UK and beyond.

Category Manager 

A category manager is accountable for the financial performance of each category. Key areas of category management include range selection (width), product pricing, promotion management, sell through management and supplier management. The goal of a Category Manager is to increase sales and profitability of the business to drive sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities for this role include analysing data and insights to determine consumer trends. Plan and implement long-term development strategies for product categories. Assume responsibility of budget development and revenue for the category. Manage and track performance to budget. Foster relationships with vendors to achieve better pricing and quality of services. Align on Product demand forecasts to ensure the sustainability of inventory. Provide Forecasts to vendors – ensuring they order to forecasts. Manage Aged/Dead/Red Stock, quit cycling from business. Developing exit strategies for unsuccessful products. To place appropriate orders to ensure product availability that meets consumer demands. Manage cost price discrepancies – via the cost discrepancy report. Maintain a clean range file with appropriate supercessions. Product data creation & maintenance. Review & take action to improve product availability. Collaborate with the E-commerce team. Research competitors and suggest appropriate pricing and promotional activities. Work with customers and store teams and find new ways of expanding product categories. Perform other duties within skill set and capabilities as directed by Leaders.

Customer Service Representative

Set-up back in 1981 by brothers Tim and Chris Noy, who both had a background in teaching, We evolved our passion for windsurfing into a small business at Leisure Lakes, a family friendly waterpark between Preston & Southport. When the wind was down, people brought their bikes to go cycling instead of surfing. Responding to this demand the Brothers started selling bikes themselves!

From humble beginnings, we built our first store at Leisure Lakes from the ground-up by hand!!  We have regularly expanded and now have 17 locations across the UK and a huge online bike store! But the story doesn’t end there. We have plans to expand to more locations around the UK. If you share our passion for bikes we would be pleased to have you join our team.

Bike Technician South

As a Bike for Good work colleague, you will be part of our vision for a healthy and inclusive environment where everyone in the community benefits from more people cycling. Reporting to the Workshop Coordinator, you will have technical and retail responsibility within the Bike Shop ensuring that your role supports the rest of the team with the day to day completion of the work.

The primary responsibility is to perform workshop and retail activities including repairs and servicing, building and refurbishing and customer service in order to deliver Bike for Good’s role of providing new and second-hand parts, bikes and accessories and services.

Developing and delivering quality standards and professionalism is a key priority and ensuring that Bike for Good’s commitment to delivering prompt and professional customer service is achieved at all time. The successful candidate must have a minimum of two year’s professional experience in servicing bicycles and sufficient knowledge and ability to work on any type of bicycle.
