Silverfish UK has secured exclusive UK distribution for Dyedbro.

The distributor says the Spanish brand is “revolutionising frame protection with eye-catching designs that turn every bike into a canvas.” Adding that with a shared passion for individuality, performance and premium product, this new partnership sees Dyedbro join Silverfish’s growing family of innovative brands.

Dyedbro gets what we’re all about. Off-road riding is pure expression – the way you ride, the lines you choose, the kit you run. Dyedbro lets riders wear their personality on their frame while keeping it bulletproof. It’s exactly the kind of brand that gets our dealers and riders fired up – Matthew Osborne, Managing Director at Silverfish UK.

Founded in Spain in 2015, Dyedbro (Do You Even Drift Bro) was created by riders, for riders, with the simple idea that frame protection doesn’t need to be boring. Since then, it’s grown into a global favourite thanks to its influential designs and collaborations with pro riders, artists and trail builders alike. Their collaboration-heavy approach means fresh drops that keep riders coming back for the latest designs.

For us, Silverfish is the place to be in the UK for premium off-road bike brands.”

In May, we announced the 18 people who would judge each category in this year’s BikeBiz awards.

To allow you to get to know the judges better, we’ve asked them all to give us insight into who they are, what they do and a little more about them.

Here we hear more about Neil Cousins, Media and Sponsorship Manager at Silverfish UK.

You’re on a call or you meet someone at an event, when introducing yourself (and having to sum up many years in a few words), you say?

Hi, I’m Neil from Silverfish UK, I’m the one who used to fix bikes but now sends free bike stuff to media and riders.

Everyone in this industry has a unique ‘origin story’ that set them on this path. What was that for you, and how did that initial spark evolve into the professional journey you found yourself on?

Origin Story sounds like something out of the Marvel Universe! While I didn’t get any gamma radiation, I did get a few sparks that led me on my way. It started with Phil Landray at Leisure Lakes way back when, then continued with Tim and Helen Flooks at TFTuned, and more recently with Nick Larsen at Charge Bikes/Fabric. Each role brought a new evolution in me and shaped where I wanted to go.

My next spark will be interesting as I’m approaching 50, but really enjoy what I’m doing. I still feel youthful and can ride most disciplines at a good level, so I don’t feel my age yet… I have to say it’s great hearing what younger colleagues think and seeing the skills they bring to the team.

Given your role as a judge for the BikeBiz Awards, if you could pinpoint one innovation or trend within the cycling world over the past decade that you believe has been truly transformative, what would it be, and why does it stand out to you?

The biggest trend has to be gravel bikes, though it’s a close call between that and e-bikes since both open cycling to more riders and enable greater exploration and longer rides. For me, gravel bikes edge out because they’re cheaper to buy and maintain, while still allowing cyclists of all levels to ride long distances comfortably.

The innovation in adaptive biking equipment and infrastructure has been incredible too, opening up access to the trails and experiences that many other riders enjoy.

As a tech enthusiast, I’m also excited by innovations like dropper posts, power meters, indoor training systems, fast road tyres and grippy MTB rubber in tyres/ shoes. Most of these technologies have trickled down from professional racing, and I appreciate how the industry is able to make them accessible to everyone. While cynics dismiss much of it as marketing hype, these products genuinely make a noticeable difference when you try them.

Neil Cousins

Delving a little deeper into judging, what are you going to be looking for when looking at the shortlists for each category, regarding who you might vote for?

I’ll first assess whether entries satisfy the brief, then draw on my industry experience to evaluate them from multiple perspectives. I’m looking for genuine passion and conviction, along with fresh, innovative approaches to our industry.

Looking five to ten years down the road, what’s a ‘blue sky’ idea or a radical shift you love to see happen for the cycling industry that you believe has the potential to truly reshape how people move and interact with bikes?

That’s a tough question.

I’d also like to see more bike lanes and new waymarked routes to take the guesswork out of epic rides. At the same time, there should be a push to curb clickbait, anti-cycling headlines. These kinds of stories fuel on-road hostility, and right now, you can really feel the impact of this when you’re out riding.

Neil Cousins

Among your many contributions to the cycling industry, are there any projects, initiatives, or achievements that stand out as your absolute proudest, and what made it so personally significant for you?

During my time at Fabric, I enjoyed weaving a bit of myself into our brand work. We all contributed our unique strengths—Nick Larsen’s vision, James Hoppe’s creativity, and the product manager’s/ design team’s technical flair. In my role handling Sports Marketing, I was determined to build an athlete roster that was diverse and genuinely representative of our values and brand identity.

I wanted Fabric to authentically represent all the cyclists out there, regardless of background. While starting as a new brand presented challenges, we quickly built a devoted following and developed a global community by the end.

Throughout your career, the industry has likely undergone significant changes. Have there been any shifts you’ve personally experienced that required you to adapt, and how did you navigate that change?

I think the shift to digital marketing has seen the biggest change in the industry during my career. I’ve been fortunate to work alongside excellent people in this field and have learned as much as possible from them. I now have greater awareness of the requirements and the round-the-clock maintenance required. I cover this during absences now and again, and it gives me a chance to refresh my knowledge.

If you could offer some advice, whether something you were told, or a hard-won lesson you learned, to those working in the cycling industry that you believe might resonate or help them in their role, what would it be?

Measure twice, cut once has been invaluable for the majority of my career.  But for me, I love to ride bicycles and I love to watch bicycle racing, this fuels my passion for working with them too. So I say, go out and do the thing you love, to appreciate the thing you’re doing.

Here are more details from the release:

Engineered for unforgiving descents, technical race lines and the world’s most demanding riders, FOX introduces Podium, a new benchmark in single-crown fork performance. Delivering exceptional fore-aft rigidity, ultra-smooth travel and DH-style confidence, Podium brings an unfair advantage to enduro racers and all-mountain riders alike.

Podium is designed to be ridden like a downhill fork. No barriers. No hesitation. Complete confidence that your front wheel will hold the line, no matter how fast—or how big—you push it. All this while keeping your bike in a familiar range of travel and geometry in a single-crown package.

FOX designed this inverted fork to get the absolute maximum performance out of the industry-leading GRIP X2 damper, with every possible gain for smoothness in its travel and confidence-inducing fore-aft rigidity in the chassis.

Fox Podium Inverted Fork

The Pinnacle Of Performance

To take full advantage of the damper’s capabilities, FOX engineers pursued the optimal design to provide ultra-low friction under load. The solution was to turn traditional fork design on its head with an inverted chassis, providing unmatched damping sensitivity when combined with our award-winning Grip X2 damper.

At the core of Podium is uncompromising fore-aft stiffness made possible by oversized 47mm upper tubes and a generatively designed crown structure. This setup delivers stiffness approaching that of the dual-crown FOX 40, allowing riders to hold precise lines with total confidence, even at downhill speeds.

To further increase torsional stiffness, Fox replaced the standard 15mm axle with a steel 20 x 110mm Boost DH axle, distributing forces more evenly across the lower leg interface. Combined with 175mm of bushing overlap—32% more than the 38 and even 7% more than the Fox 40—Podium delivers an unbeatable chassis stiffness and reduced friction under heavy loads.

Fox Podium Inverted Fork
The Harder You Push, The Smoother The Ride

Podium’s GlideCore air spring delivers next-level smoothness. Designed with built-in lateral and axial compliance, it allows the spring to flex with the fork under high loads, reducing binding and stiction. The result? A smoother ride feel, improved small bump sensitivity and better control when the terrain gets wild.

The inverted design also shortens the distance from the lower fork bushing to the axle as the fork compresses. This reduces leverage on the bushing, minimising friction just when riders need it most—charging hard into deep travel on technical terrain.

Custom-Tuned GRIP X2 Damper

Podium is equipped with a specially tuned GRIP X2 damper, known for its four-way adjustability and race-proven control. With enhanced compression damping to match the fork’s reduced friction and slightly softened rebound to balance lower unsprung mass, Podium’s damping curve is designed for aggressive descending, enduro competition and eMTB domination.

Unfair Smoothness by Design

Every aspect of Podium is engineered for reduced friction and increased sensitivity:

  • Full oil immersion keeps seals constantly lubricated while gravity helps shed contamination.
  • Reduced unsprung mass—thanks to the inverted design—improves suspension responsiveness.
  • Custom-tuned GRIP X2 Damper

Fox Podium Inverted Fork

Built Like a DH Fork, Rides Like a Podium

Podium isn’t just a new fork—it’s a new category. Designed to feel like a DH fork in a single crown chassis, Podium erases hesitation, boosts confidence and delivers world-class control at high speed.

From full-power eMTBs to enduro race bikes, Podium gives riders everything they need to go faster, harder and deeper into technical terrain.

Fox is distributed by Silverfish UK.

Here are more details from the release:

Key technologies and engineering

Benefiting from MICHELIN’s enormous research and development resources, PRO5 is part of the Competition Line range, offering road riders maximum pleasure and performance for sports and recreational use.

– Air Tightness

Designed to enhance airtightness (1) and ease of mounting operation thanks to a revamped architecture design.

– Increased Performance

Incredibly fast riding (2) thanks to the combination of the new Tubeless Ready design and Gum-X compound in comparison to the MICHELIN Pro4 Endurance.

– Longevity

Designed with Bead-to-Bead Shield technology and an updated tread compound and pattern to enhance durability (3).

The tyre that allows for riding faster

Michelin has completely redesigned their Competition Line of road bicycle tyres, turning to advanced technologies. The result of this work is the NEW MICHELIN Pro5, a tyre for both training and competition, and designed for long distances. Significantly more efficient than its predecessor, the MICHELIN Pro4 Endurance, the new MICHELIN Pro5 boasts a 35% improvement in rolling resistance. This improvement is thanks to its new Tubeless Ready design, as well as its mix of MICHELIN Gum-X rubbers.

The tyre with more comfort and more grip

By combining a new tread and wider cross-sections that range from 28 to 35 mm, the MICHELIN Pro5 has been developed to give cyclists maximum comfort, grip, and durability on both dry and wet surfaces. Its internal structure allows the cyclist to reduce the inflation pressure, thus increasing comfort when riding at all speeds.

The combination of the specific tread design and MICHELIN Gum X rubber provides excellent wet braking support (4), allowing the rider to concentrate on the training ahead, or confidence when racing.

Long life acknowledged by ultra-distance cyclists

An essential expectation of road cyclists is to ride for a long time without having to worry about their tyres. The MICHELIN Pro5 transforms this need into reality. Before going to market, the new Michelin tyre was validated under real conditions by all types of potential users: amateur cyclists who ride locally, ultra-distance enthusiasts, and professional racers. Consequently, the test covered over 100,000 km.

Long distance enthusiasts and fans of riding in all conditions will also appreciate the air sealing properties of the MICHELIN Pro5, which maintains a constant pressure on each outing. The more constant the tyre pressure, the lower the risk of wear. In fact, scientific measurements prove that the MICHELIN Pro5 is even more airtight than the MICHELIN Power Cup TLR.
