Bosch eBike Systems unveils Version 1.25 of its eBike Flow app

Bosch eBike Systems has introduced a number of updates to its eBike Flow app with the introduction of Version 1.25.

With the new update, riders can now access their Komoot routes faster than ever before and follow them more easily using the improved Ride Screen, while the new eShift feature lets users predetermine which gear they want to get them going.

eBike enthusiasts can now enjoy a more seamless experience thanks to the new “Live Sync” feature which has been introduced to the 1.25 update.

How it works:

  1. Once users have planned their routes on Komoot, they can sync them effortlessly to the eBike Flow app by clicking the “Navigate with Bosch” button.
  2. Users will then receive a push notification which allows them to open the route in the eBike Flow app and immediately start their navigation

Adjustments to Komoot routes can now be synched more easily too. Waypoints can be added or routes can be re-planned, and with just one click, they appear in the eBike Flow app.

Looking ahead, riders will also be able to discover other inspiring Komoot routes within the eBike Flow app. In the planning view and under “My routes,” a banner will highlight other interesting rides in the user’s local area.

The new update offers riders a faster way to get an overview of their route. With a single click, users can switch between their current, centred position in the navigation view and a full overview of the route. The map automatically zooms in and out, ensuring riders always have a clear sight of their journey.

Bosch eBike Systems has introduced “an ingenious feature” for the Rohloff E-14 eShift solution. Automatic downshifting is now possible any time riders set off – a feature that proves especially useful for situations like traffic lights.

This feature can be activated in the eBike Flow app under “My eBike” > “eShift.” To use automatic downshifting with the Rohloff E-14, riders will also need to update the firmware from our partner Rohloff.

This firmware will be available in the coming weeks.
