Assistant Manager

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with one of the world’s leading cycling brands in a dynamic and fast-growing retail environment. As Assistant Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional customer experiences while supporting the day-to-day running of the store.

Key responsibilities of this role include supporting the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations, including sales/web sales, customer service, inventory management, and staff supervision. Leading by example on the shop floor, delivering excellent customer service and expert product advice. Assisting with staff training, development, and performance management. Helping plan and execute in-store merchandising and promotional activities. Monitoring store KPIs and help drive sales targets. Take ownership of specific operational areas (e.g. stock control, scheduling, events coordination). Step up to manage the store in the absence of the Store Manager.

Retail Assistant / Bike Mechanic

Based in Norfolk, we’re proud to offer a wide range of road, mountain, gravel, electric and hybrid bikes from leading brands like Trek, Cube, Giant and BMC both in-store and online. Our team is passionate about cycling, customer service, and making sure every rider, whether beginner or expert, gets the most from their ride.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Retail Assistant and bike mechanic to join our store team. You’ll be the first point of contact for customers, providing expert advice, guiding them through our bike and accessories range, and delivering a great in-store experience.

Key responsibilities for this role include providing a warm welcome and expert advice to all customers visiting the store. Assisting customers in selecting bikes, and accessories that meet their needs. Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of product ranges, specs, and current offers. Processing sales transactions accurately using our EPOS system. Supporting with bike handovers, including safety checks and basic setup explanations. Ensuring the showroom is clean, well-stocked, and merchandised to a high standard. Assisting with stock handling, deliveries, and back-of-house organisation. Communicating effectively with the workshop, sales, and online teams. Responding to customer enquiries and escalate any issues when necessary.

Bike Mechanic

In late 2022 99 Bikes acquired Hargroves Cycles, a long running family owned UK Business. 99 Bikes UK is owned by the Pedal Group, a group based in Australia comprising over 70+ bicycle retail shops and a wholesale business based in Australia and NZ.

Sales Assistant

Whether it be for the weekday commute or weekend pursuits, our customers have very different preferences. As a Sales Assistant, you are the face of our brand, and a key part of our business success.  We want you to share our passion for cycling and help every customer to have everything they need to ‘enjoy the ride’.  You will achieve this through amazing customer service. You’ll be very approachable and be able to demonstrate strong communication skills with the ability to commute with customers who have varying levels of cycling experience.

You will be assisting your team in serving customers in the store and over the phone, carrying out technical handovers, managing deliveries and carrying out sales administration. You’ll solution focused, flexible and able to work on your own initiative – a can-do attitude is an absolute must.

Cycle Mechanic

We are looking for an experienced cycle mechanic to join our busy team in Stokesley, North Yorkshire. Our workshop is responsible for the setting up of new bikes to fulfil eCommerce orders as well as the repair and maintenance of customer’s bikes. Up to date product knowledge is essential, including familiarity of eBike systems and electronic shifting systems.

The role will involve working with our team of technicians to set up and PDI new bikes, as well as diagnosing and repairing customers’ existing bikes. The successful candidate should have an industry relevant qualification such as a level 2 Cytech or City & Guilds.

Key responsibilities for this role include performing setup and PDI of new bikes. Diagnosing and repairing customers’ existing bikes. Effectively communicate inventory stock levels to ensure repairs can be conducted in a timely manner. Keep up to date with current product knowledge and report any training that may be required in order for the technicians to correctly perform their jobs.
