Over ten years of experience and product development has led us to the latest iterations of our design-classic bar bag range. The perfect blend of evolution and revolution; the holster bar bag and race bar bag are the same products that you know, except better in every way – Restrap

New ranges:

  • Holster Bar Bag
  • Rolltop Canister Bag
  • Holster Bar Bag Plus (the Holster Bar Bag and Rolltop Canister Bag combined)
  • Race Bar Bag – Drop-Bar
  • Race Bar Bag – Flat-Bar

Restrap says each will replace/supplement their previous bar bag range, and will be available to purchase from 22nd May 2025.

Before going into specific product details, here’s a quick refresher on why Restrap is so passionate about the holster system and why we’ve consistently used it from the start.

The most time consuming part of fitting and removing a bikepacking set up is strapping the bags to the bike. Our system allows you to leave the holster attached to the bike when you arrive at your destination and simply/quickly remove the dry bag in a couple of clicks. Easy. Reliable. Slick. Less faffing and more riding. It’s that straightforward.

Here are further details from the release:

GripTight patch

Perhaps the only downside to a holster bag is that the drybag can sometimes shift or slip in the holster, especially when riding off-road. That’s why we’ve introduced our unique GripTight patch across the entire range of bags. The strip of hook and loop has two benefits; firstly, it makes placing the drybag in the holster an easier process, but most importantly, it completely prevents side-to-side slipping, no matter how rough the ride.

The drybag is manufactured from our most robust material ever. Designed to shrug off abrasions and perforations, it will keep the contents 100% waterproof, whatever the conditions.

Range highlights

Rolltop Canister

The Rolltop Canister Bag is built for ultimate flexibility—use it solo on your handlebars or mount it to the Holster Bar Bag for added capacity. With a 4L volume, it’s ideal for snacks, layers, or valuables, and transitions seamlessly from bike to shoulder thanks to its removable paracord strap. Fully waterproof, it features quick-fit webbing straps, a Fidlock buckle for easy one-handed access, and mesh side pockets for essentials. Whether you’re out for a day ride, overnighter, or long haul, it’s the perfect grab-and-go companion—adaptable, secure, and ready for whatever the ride brings.

All-New Holster Bar Bag & Holster Bar Bag Plus

The Holster Bar Bag Plus: a modular, 18L handlebar setup combining our new Holster Bar Bag with the Rolltop Canister Bag for versatile bikepacking. Use the holster alone for lightweight trips or attach the waterproof 4L canister in seconds for extra space. Our holster system stays on the bike, so you can quickly remove the drybag at camp—no faff. With easy-fit cam-locks, bombproof stability, a slip-free GripTight patch, and a handy stowage strap, it’s built for fast access and rough rides.

New Race Bar Bags

We’ve also overhauled our Race Bar Bag, which now has the GripTight patch on the dry bags and now comes into distinct variants: Drop Bar or Flat Bar (the TT Bar version is unchanged and also stays in the range). While both are 7L in capacity, the dry bags fit differently between the two, making them tailored specifically for those types of handlebar.
