Bicycle Mechanic – Cadence Bikeshop Bath 

Hours: full or part time positions available

Cadence is an independent, well-established bike shop situated on the outskirts of Bath. We focus on offering high-quality products, professional servicing, and expert advice to a loyal and growing customer base. The shop is modern and well-organised with dedicated workshop space, premium tools, and clean, efficient workstations.

We specialise in, often custom built, high-end road, gravel, mountain and e-bikes, working with some top brands including Colnago, Cannondale, Wilier, Orbea, Enigma, Santa Cruz and Mondraker but work on anything and everything day to day.

We’re now looking to add a full-time experienced Bicycle Mechanic to our skilled and supportive team. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a professional workshop environment focused on quality and customer service.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Servicing and repairing high-end bicycles to a consistently high standard
• Carrying out custom builds and new bike preparation
• Diagnosing mechanical and electronic issues with precision
• Working confidently with various eBike motor systems
• Maintaining a clean and organised workshop
• Supporting colleagues and assisting on the shop floor when needed with the ability to converse with customers

What We’re Looking For:

• Cytech Level 2 or equivalent experience – essential
• Proven experience as a mechanic in a cycle shop – essential
• Strong technical knowledge of modern bikes and components
• A tidy and methodical approach to work
• Good time management
• Ability to stay focused during busy periods and handle seasonal demand
• Someone who is team-oriented, reliable, and has good communication skills
• Willingness to keep learning and stay up to date with industry developments
