We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Cycle Mechanic/Wheelbuilder. Whilst wheelbuilding ability would be desirable, we would also be pleased to consider a Mechanic who would like to gain these skills.
Responsibilities of the position include the assembly of custom-built bicycles and wheels. Identifying faults, damage and wear. Liaison with customers on bicycle and wheelset specifications. Advising customers on repairs, and carrying out repairs, maintenance and general servicing. Preparation of cost estimates for the above. Retail shop service.
The position is full time (40hr/wk) to include some Saturdays, although a job-share arrangement may be considered. We offer an attractive salary package commensurate with experience, the potential for overtime, 28 days pa paid holiday, a Company Pension Scheme and a generous staff discount programme.
As an experienced Bicycle Mechanic, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality bicycle assembly, repairs, and fleet maintenance across our workshop. You’ll work on a wide range of bicycles— from kids bikes to Cargos!
This is a hands-on, varied role ideal for someone who values quality workmanship, is confident diagnosing and fixing mechanical issues, and enjoys working in a purpose-driven, inclusive team.
Key responsibilities for this role include carrying out safety checks, and repairs on a wide range of bikes to a high standard. Build new bikes for our “Try Before You Bike” customers. Diagnose faults and repair mechanical systems including gears, brakes (cable and hydraulic), drivetrains, wheels, and bearings. Maintain and repair bikes from our hire fleet.Occasional support at mobile events, bike markets. Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised workspace, and follow all workshop procedures.
We are looking for someone who is cytech Level 2 (minimum) or equivalent recognised qualification. 2+ years’ professional experience as a bicycle mechanic (retail or workshop-based). Confident working with a variety of bikes, including standard and electric bikes. Strong attention to detail and high mechanical standards. Comfortable working independently and as part of a diverse team. Passion for cycling, sustainability, and making bikes accessible to all.

Based within our Design & Research Centre in Witney, you will be involved in all aspects of the products management cycle, from product development, project management, range planning, supplier liaison and cost price negotiation, whilst striving to maintain the integrity of the brand and achieve the company’s objectives.
The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in cycling with an understanding of the various disciplines and trends within the cycling sector.
They need to be very well organised and able to work on their own initiative, with keen attention to detail. Strong communication skills are essential to negotiate with external and internal stakeholders.
Experience in a product facing or buying role within the cycle industry is preferential but not essential. You will need to be proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.

The successful applicant will have a knowledge of road/touring bicycles and related componentry; and be able to discuss this with our customers across the globe, whether they’re looking for a bike, a wheel or a chainring bolt!
Responsibilities of the position include the processing of online orders. Shop counter sales and service. Drafting of specifications with customers for our custom-built cycles. Managing general enquiries via phone & email. Retail shop-front housekeeping.
